We're proud to fill

Bringing the warmth and delicious flavours of Italy to Lichfield's vibrant Tamworth Street, we've opened the doors to an Italian Deli & Spritz Bar in the Old Picture House building.

Featuring a deli fridge stocked with a selection of beautiful cured meats, cheeses and antipasti, our aim is to showcase regional specialties Italy proudly builds their food culture on and shine a light on individual products.

You'll find shelves stocked with particulars you may not find in supermarkets and lesser-known culinary goodies outside of Italy. We'll be happy to chat about how to use them in your kitchen.

Our deli menu
Every morning we bake fresh bread for our panini which we aim to have on the deli counter by midday - lunchtime in Italy! Our stuffed focaccia and thick pizza slices are guided by what's in season, and we always make a meat, vegetarian and vegan panino with the option of gluten-free bread. Think fillings like creamy goats cheese, fresh pesto, rocket & grilled zucchini or salame finocchiona, truffle spread, pecorino and gem lettuce...

Pizza all'taglio comes from busy cities like Naples and Rome where lunch is grabbed from a bread shop and where the beloved 'Pizza Rossa' is placed straight from the oven onto Roman bakery counters at midday, like we do here in Lichfield. If you're at the deli midday, you'll most likely find the pizze and breads still warm!

You may already know our Lich-famous lasagne from the market stall or when we delivered to your doorstep during lockdown and you'll find these on the deli counter for takeaway or with the possibility of heating a slice for lunch. We strive to bring authentic flavours, traditions and foods from Italy, proud to bake beautiful, Italian foods for lunch at Mangia Mangia and serve breakfast 'the Italian way' - cappuccino e brioche in the morning, instead of offering a large restaurant menu.

If you love our traditional tiramisu and take-home risotto, these will be in the deli fridge alongside the beautiful cheeses, antipasti and salumi we stock as interesting and quirky produce, you may not easily find outside of Italy.

L'aperitivo all'italiana

Our deli fridge is stocked with all kinds of delicious, Italian delights waiting to be piled onto a platter. Perfect for a before-dinner starter or a light dinner, come join us at Mangia Mangia Lichfield on Friday and Saturday 6 - 8 PM for Aperitivo Time, the Italian Way.

About the deli
Can I book a table?
We're more of a deli than a restaurant with service from the counter & do not take table bookings. Feel free to turn up when suits you best.

Are you dog-friendly?
Yes, we're everyone friendly.

Do you cater for vegan, Gluten-Free or Dairy-Free?
We offer oat-milk as a non-dairy option and aim to have gluten-free bread available. The Torta Caprese is a beautiful, naturally gluten-free recipe and we can make a vegan panino..
Please note, our food is cooked in a mixed-allergen environment thus we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free product. Always speak to member of staff before ordering if you are unsure.

Can you make panini to order?
Our bread is baked daily and panini made fresh, along with pizza slices baked in our deli kitchen. We make a certain amount which usually sells out over lunch-time.

What time are your panini available?
As our breads are made fresh every day, it's tricky to put a time on yeast and the delicate factors involved in perfect dough - but, we aim to have our sandwiches and pizza slices ready for lunch at midday.

Do you serve hot food?
Our lasagne slices are available to heat in store and we often feature hot soup as a Saturday lunchtime special from midday.

What time is l'aperitivo?
SPRITZ + ANTIPASTO is Thursday to Saturday 6 - 8 PM

Do you have disabled access and toilets?
Yes, we do.

Where's the best place to park?
Lombard Street Car park is a 3 minute walk away through the Tanneries.
See Lichfield Council's parking map.

How do I book a cooking class?
